SIMPLEX & SUPER SIMPLEX BODY KITS NOW AVAIALBLE

Welcome to Model Engineers Laser

.

LATEST:- The prices shown on the web site will be subject to VAT as will the postage and packing. I have a new contact number 01302 337772, please do not use the old number. This line has a better answering machine so please leave a message if I am not around.

Due to the amount of drawing work I have outstanding I cannot take on any new work until after Harrogate. I am currently working on a Duchess tender body which is proving to be rather awkward. The BR1F in 5 inch gauge and Simplex body kit are now being trialed, the latter will be available for Harrogate. Anything on the web site can be ordered but PLEASE do not send any new drawings, they will not get done. Another long term project is a Gauge 1 Britannia, come and see it on the stand. Many of the components will be from Rogers 9F.

SEE YOU AT HARROGATE!!!

Look forward to seeing you there. I do not take cards, a cheque is perfectly acceptable. Please note I will be closed for the week from 24th to 31st May.

The laser cutting service for Model Engineers by a Model Engineer at reasonable prices!

With over 3000 different parts having already been produced for fellow Model Engineers this is the place to be to get that model done fast! Click on the gauge you are interested in and see the models I have already done parts for. Click on the model name and see the parts I have done and an indication of price. The price may vary depending on how long ago I last provided those parts. For other information use the buttons down the side.

Frames, tender kits, cabs, stretchers etc.they are all there from 0 Gauge up to 10 1/4"

For the Traction Engine enthusiast hornplates, spokes, bunkers etc.

If you cannot see the part you are looking for contact us, see how to do this by clicking the "Contact Us" button at the side. All it takes is a drawing, preferably with dimensions on!! I am not into dimensionless analysis or doing someone's design work for them. Please, if you want me to cut a part at least provide the dimensions.

If I have the parts in stock then delivery will be within a few days. If the parts are on the database already it will probably be 3-4 weeks. If I have to draw them and it is complex, say a new tender body then it could be months. Please remember I am a "One man band" and still trying to complete a Holmside! The flying season will be upon us soon so I will no doubt have some planes to repair!

I will enclose an invoice with your parts. Postage and packing will be at cost and VAT must be added for all UK and EC customers. I would appreciate a cheque by return. For those not in the UK the cheapest way is for you to send me a cheque in your currency. We will agree an exchange rate plus £5 charge from my bank for cashing it. This is the cheapest method. I do not take credit cards at the moment it is too expensive.

Look at the kits I now do. These are very fast build, a 5" Stanier tender body in a weekend? It's possible! The parts are tabbed and slotted so you cannot get it wrong. Most go together with soft solder, the chassis frames and the stretchers need to be silver soldered. There are cab kits, motion brackets, bogies and lots more. For a fast and accurate build this is the way to go. Some are more accurate representations than the original drawings, not that difficult in some cases! Someone in your club may well have made one, ask around.

I shall be at the following venues:-

Harrogate from 9th to the 11th May, Bristol 15th to 17th August, Midlands 17th to 21st October. I hope to attend teh Sweet PEa rally in Oxford on 7th and 8th June and IMLEC at Southport on 5th and 6th July.

I am also giving a number of talks on laser cutting to various societies around the country in addition to my articles in Engineering in Miniature. If your society would like a talk get in touch, I only ask for some diesel money. Talks arranged Hereford 30/5 2008, N W Leicester 12th June, Bedford 6th September andLeicester 29th September. I hope to see some of you at the talks.

Many thanks.
